Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. I have been wanting to go to Cedar Hollow Inn for a long time and finally made it! What a wonderful experience from the ease of making the reservation, to the hosttess greeting to the phenomenal older waittress and the food was outstanding. I will go again, and again. Wish I went years ago :)

Great Oktoberfest! Chef and Manager have extensive German culinary and hospitality experience, so outstanding food selection and preparation. Curated beer (and, as usual, wine and cocktail/mocktail) options. We were regaled with flawless accordion music throughout, featuring polkas, waltzes, and German folk tunes. Please make this an annual tradition!
