- TThomasChicago / Illinois •16 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoStepping into Bix is like stepping into a jazz club in New Orleans 50 years ago. The room has an upper balcony around the sides, and the whole place is beautifully decorated, with a huge mural above the classic old-style bar. Service was prompt, friendly, and humorous. They made me a fine Vesper. There was a warm roll with butter at our plates, and then an amuse bouche came shortly after. My half-dozen oysters were sweet and fresh. The lobster pasta had plenty of large chunks of lobster and was delicious. The poached pear dessert came with a big dollop of whipped cream on the side. There was a jazz piano trio playing classics, and even though we were only about 20 feet away, we could talk above the music (but it was good enough to just sit back and listen to). All in all, this was a great experience. It's not cheap, but not insane either. I will definitely be back.More infoBIXPrice: Expensive• American• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7

- BBobbySan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoFrom the moment we walked into Elia, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning—think glowing blue lights, natural decor, and walls adorned with beautifully spaced art pieces that felt like a gallery. Sitting across from my wife, I couldn’t have asked for a better view. The service was equally impressive. We were warmly greeted at the door and invited to enjoy a drink at the bar while waiting for our table amidst a lively crowd. Our server, Lilia, was outstanding. Despite being busy, she made sure we were well taken care of and never felt overlooked. Now, the food—wow. We started with the octopus, followed by the filet mignon and lobster paella. Each dish was cooked to perfection. The paella was packed with rich flavors and seafood, and the lobster tail was perfectly done. The filet mignon? Easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in Walnut Creek, perfectly seasoned and tender. To finish, we indulged in the chocolate cake, which was nothing short of spectacular—the best I’ve ever had. Elia gave us an amazing night filled with exceptional food, ambiance, and service. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Thank you, Elia, for making our evening unforgettable!More infoElia - Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• Greek• Walnut Creek•4.7
