    I've been staying at the Fairmont for the past 20+ years at this time of year and I always make an evening of the Tonga Room. Nothing like it in the world (that I know of) with tiki interior, a rain storm every so often with thunder and lightning, fab service from Bash my waiter, delicious food and super entertainment from the band, The Island Groove. What a great evening!!

    My wife and I are long time Yoshi dinner and concert fans, especially when Boney James comes to town. We first say him and his group perform at Yoshi’s in San Francisco many years. Since then, we always attend his Oakland Yoshi’s performances and it’s always a great dinner and show. So for 2024, thanks once again Yoshi’s for another great dinner and show.     Charming "old school" Jazz Bistro-Supper Club vibe. Mellow Jazz, jazz themed bar mural and decor. The food is excellent, perhaps a bit rich for me (lots of butter and creme). Delicious! The bar is very classic-classy, well staffed, and great craft cocktails. All staff were engaging, pleasant, upbeat, and professional. Coat check is a nice 'grace note.'
