Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Dorchester

The Scillian muscles were DELICIOUS, the sauce was phenomenal! I also ordered their short rib lasagna which was also tasty!

Went for lunch around 1PM on a Saturday and they gave us (a family with kids!) a nice table by the window. Had meatballs and octopus appetizers and both were good, but octopus was superlative. I had the boar/porcini tagliatelle and wife had gnocchi. Both were excellent. Kids and wife finished with bread pudding and it was delicious as well. I had an espresso martini that was fantastic for my dessert. Not a single complaint with food or atmosphere and service was on point. Only possible issue was it did seem a bit overpriced for some items, but by the time I left full and happy, I didn’t care.

Terra is an absolute masterpiece of a restaurant! The Italian food here is nothing short of spectacular—every dish is crafted to perfection, and the flavors are unforgettable. The wine selection is equally impressive, with thoughtful pairings that elevate the dining experience to a whole new level. A special shoutout to our server, Vinicius, who made the evening truly extraordinary. His knowledge of the menu, attention to detail, and warm, professional demeanor added so much to our experience. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and we left feeling absolutely spoiled. I think this is the best restaurant food in Boston right now, really outstanding. The wine program is exclusively Greek, the list is huge, the grape varieties unfamiliar and unpronounceable, but the waitstaff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant struggles to keep wines in stock; I ordered two bottles that were not available that night. The place is crowded and noisy, the patrons generally young and hip, lots of fun.

Excellent food and service. We went on a gluten free Monday due to my wife’s celiac disease. Gluten free or not, the food was fantastic.
