Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

Lardo in Mexico City is known for chef Elena Reygadas' cooking of Mediterranean food from a wood burning oven. Diners are encouraged to share.     Highly recommend. Great location and a modern, nice restaurant, with a decent-sized menu. We had bloody Mary’s and a couple of pastries to start, then two meals. I had the fried eggs over potatoes topped with jam and cheese, which was just as good as it sounds. My wife had the mushroom toast with a side of sausage, which were equally great. Our server was great and happy to speak English with us. Not sure how busy it would be on a weekend, but there was plenty of tables available at 10am on a Monday.

    Great food, one of the best steaks I’ve had in Mexico City. Also great cocktails and desserts. It’s an expensive place. The service from Brandon, our waiter, was impeccable as well. Only issue is that they didn’t respect our reservation time on OpenTable and we had to wait more than half an hour for our table.
