   I hadn't been to Firenze since pre-pandemic. I wish I would have come back sooner than this. The food was incredible, the service was quick and attentive and the ambiance was cozy, rustic and friendly. It was less busy than I remembered and I'm glad I supported a small family business!

   The place looks unassuming from the outside, but inside it is pleasant and larger than I expected. There was a single waitress who seemed to be doing everything, but she did a great job and service was friendly. The food was quite good, in particular my Penne Gorgonzola, which was perfectly seasoned and one of the better versions of that I have had. Overall I would absolutely recommend Firenze Ristorante and look forward to going back.

   Excellent food, but rather expensive for italian. They also charge you $6 for a small plate of bread.

   It has been several years since I have been to Firenze, my recollection was that the food was quite good, as well as the ambiance and service..kind of like a quaint trattoria. I had even dined at Zia, Firenze’s (new) sister restaurant 3 miles down the road in the new Downtown Redmond. Firenze’s location at Crossroads Shopping Plaza makes for a great location for frequent visits for Bellevue, Kirkland and even Redmond residents. So, I should have sensed that something was up when the plaza was full of cars, the many other restaurants (and new Dick’s drive through!) were v busy and nearly every table was vacant, both inside and outside Firenze. Never the less, we went in and took a table for 2 outside. That was at 6:30 pm. At 6:55 the only server stopped by to take our drink and food order. At 7:00, a non-English speaking bus boy in dirty apron brought some stale bread and oil and vinegar and at 7:10 our Salads and my glass of wine arrived. Unfortunately, a small chip on the lip of the glass cut my lip. As a few more diners arrived, we began to see less and less of the server, who was frantically running around. We managed to communicate with the bus boy to get more bread and refill waters, but he did not understand about the wine glass. So, finally when my tortellini alla panna and my wife’s gorgonzola chicken arrived at 7:45, our server promptly replaced my wine (and glass). Despite promising to bring us both new silverware (taken away after the salad course) and fresh ground pepper for our meals, and waiting over five minutes, while our meals sat, getting cold, I got up and went inside to find the server. Spotting him in the main dining room, and with two small groups waiting to be seated, he directed me to a table that the busboy was setting up and he gave me two sets of utensils off one of the nearby tables. Not wishing to wait longer, I grabbed a peppermill from an outside station while on my way out. No apology is sufficient, nor ever offered.

   You need to eat here. Ask about the specials, they are usually fabulous. This is such a wonderful Italian restaurant and we enjoy every time we visit.
