   I am a fan of Flemmings and have been going to their restaurants for over 10 years. I have been to the restaurant in downtown LA many times. Over the last 10 years I have visited the downtown LA restaurant at least five times on Christmas Eve. Last night was the most disappointing of all my visits. First I ordered a gin martini and I wanted it in an extra cold martini glass and with four blue cheese olives. What I received was a regular temperature martini glass that was only 2/3 full and I received two regular olives instead of four olives with blue cheese. Due to the lateness of the hour and the fact that the bar was very slow I decided to deal with it and enjoy what they gave me. My ribeye steak was better than average but lack color and presentation. The roasted asparagus was excellent but the Flemming’s potatoes were overcooked and dry. We ordered a piece of carrot cake and the crème brûlée for dessert. Both were average and nothing to ride home about. And Then to top it off two poorly dressed and very casual men we’re dining at the restaurant and they’re stupid little dog, that was not a service dog got loose and was running all over the restaurant. Many guests thought it was cute. I thought it was annoying and uncalled for. If I’m going to spend on average $100 per person or more for dinner I don’t expect people to be bringing their dogs in that are not service dogs. Flemming‘s should really think about this policy of theirs.

   Fleming’s was a great experience! My partner and I went for her Birthday and our waiter David took care of us. Although a bit noisy we had a great time and the staff was awesome!

   Our service was horrendous. The server asked to take away the bread three times and we said no three times. The dessert menu was dropped at our table before we even finished our entrees. The unbelievable rushed feeling throughout the whole meal spoiled our dining experience.

   Aged ribeye was very delicious and cooked just right (medium rare). One member of our party was gluten free and dairy free. There was a special menu but the order was mixed up a couple of times. At a restaurant with this price point, this is unacceptable.

   It was half an hour to closing so it was quiet inside. We really appreciated getting a reservation last minute and that they were so accommodating at 9:30pm. We were quick to not be disrespectful being the last ones in there or to keep the staff too late (hate being those people). We had the Caesar salad and the lettuce was cold and crisp. Our bone in ribeye sliced was the perfect medium rare. My favorite side dish that I rarely get to have is the lobster Mac and cheese. The best Mac and cheese around with cavatappi pasta noodles. We also took a carrot cake home because that is also one of my favorite carrot cakes in all of LA. We were celebrating my fiancé coming home from a successful work trip so it was the perfect ending to our date night after picking him up from the airport. We had never been to the LA location and it is just as wonderful as the other Flemings locations.
