My wife started with an "How about them apples" cocktail, and I had a pale ale, then she had beet salad while I got duck mousse [I don't understand why they don't call it pate] which was about out of this world. Then she had paccheri pasta, and I had sea bass. We finished up with Chocolate Creameax. We got both breads, but the popover (being more unique) was our favorite. The herbed nuts and cheese charcuterie were exceptional. We each ordered a Lightbringer cocktail, then reordered a second round before our walk home. The dessert was also unique, great chocolate chip cookies alongside a sipped or dunked-into liquor. We were seated on the speakeasy, which at first felt odd as we were the only ones there, but was great as a few more tables were seated there and it was not as crowded or bustling as the main dining room. I didn’t realize that if I let them know when reserving a table, it was a date night, you get a special table! We ended up sitting in two comfy chairs with a table off to the side. They make it a little more romantic for you. The food is always good, the servers always so lovely and the atmosphere very warm and welcoming.
