The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor.     The Noble Goat in Downingtown is a welcome addition to the local dining options. Service was enthusiastic, attentive and friendly, while the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. On this Saturday evening the bright and attractive restaurant was full of happy customers talking at speed, so conversations were difficult to hear -- a good indication of the initial popularity of this very enjoyable new offering. We'll be delighted to return soon and wish The Noble Goat a long and successful run.

    Everything was delicious, probably the best meal I have had out in a while! BYOB (not mentioned on the website) -Portion sizes are very generous -Great menu selection -everything we had was really delicious, like traditional dishes but elevated quality and plated beautifully -Friendly and attentive staff -ambiance is fun and trendy but not loud at all

    We had a wonderful experience at the White Dog Cafe. We celebrated my fiancée's birthday, and the staff acknowledged the occasion with a nice card. We had dined at the restaurant when it was Vickers Restaurant, so it was nice to see that much of the restaurant had a close resemblance. The food was fantastic, many great choices. I had the salmon and my fiancée had the meatloaf. Both were great. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was a nice beginning to our meal. Our server, Lia was fantastic, she was friendly, cheerful and full of positive energy. She was attentive without being over bearing. We will go back again.

    We had a party of ten people, which normally would be a hassle for this style of restaurant. Amazingly, the service, the food and the attention to detail made the experience well worth it. Only suggestion is that they turn down the volume slightly on the PA.

    We love Anthony’s so I knew this is where I wanted to go for my birthday. There was a slight mix up with our reservation because Anthony’s was also hosting a private party upstairs, so we had to wait a bit but the owner was so sweet and worked on getting us seated as quickly as possible. Our favorite thing to order is the Burrata- it is absolutely wonderful. It’s fresh, a nice mix of flavors, and a really large portion. My husband got chicken carbonara and I got the special pasta- Tuscana pasta with chicken. Again- wonderful. Our server, Jackie, was amazing and all of the staff- bus boys, food runners, hostesses etc. are constantly working hard to make sure everyone is attended to. The owners are very kind, welcoming and attentive to their customers. Despite having to wait, it was totally worth it and will be back many times!
