Managed under the guidance of Maitre d' and Partner Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of pintxos, conservas, seafood and meat dishes. Bar Isabel is open 5-11pm Sunday through Friday, and 12-11pm Saturday. General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!

    Fantastic dinner tonight. We did the tasting menu which was a selection of the menu and each morsel was incredible. Highlight was the Bone Marrow and the luge finish with a shot of sherry for my daughter’s boyfriend. Perfectly executed! The Foie Gras Pintxo was my favourite. Incredible service that matched the food.

    Food was phenomenal, service from Neal and team was amazing, vibe was immaculate. Can’t wait to return. What we ordered, Endive salad - beautifully balanced and fresh Seafood tower - so fresh and amazing flavours. Only note is that the crab legs are very much whole so was a little difficult to shuck ourselves but we managed. Popcorn clams and mussels - light, crispy, delicious. Order it!! Skate wing - Cooked perfectly, surprising flavour combinations but worked so so well Surf ‘n’ turf - ugh, amazing. Perfectly cooked lobster, crispy sweetbreads, sauce was nicely seasoned and rich NY strip - nicely cooked and great flavour. Only note was that although cooked perfectly mid rare, the actual temperature of the steak was a little cold but not a huge deal English chips - best french fries ever eaten. Malt powder and beef fat, can’t go wrong Banoffee pie - very rich, could use a smidge of acidity to cut through it but still excellent Drinks are also great. Both alcoholic and non. Had too many of each to remember for this review. Overall, fantastic night. Will be back many times.

    Amazing food, amazing service, great vibes. Only complaint is that it is a little too dim in the restaurant — would be nice to have better lighting in at least one area for pictures.

    Excellent food, ambience and service! We had to change our reservation last minute due to 3 of our party members’ illnesses and they accommodated us no problem. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
