Love the tavern. My only recommendation is better timing. We weren’t even finished our salads before the mains came. We also had a very small two person table to fit all these dishes. If they could time that better it would be a perfect experience.

The staff felt rushed. Nothing against him, I think they were understaffed for happy hour. Nobody even mentioned happy hour until we asked after we received our drinks. I want to give the place another chance especially because of its history, but wasn’t impressed on the first visit for my wife’s birthday. I even wrote it in my note, and included that we would like the bar. The bar part was granted, but no nod or anything to the occasion.

The food and drinks were good, but a little pricey. Short rib sliders were the best part. Dessert was disappointing. The bill was what you would expect to pay at a nice steakhouse .

we ate upstairs in the piano bar which is incredibly charming. the singer who was also the bar tender was sooooo good. the food was good but not great; what you expect from a pub. the toffee pudding was cold and tasteless. that was a disappointment. they definitely need more servers. at least one more server. you have to wait a long time. The place is so historic. you’ve got to love that.

Love visiting a place so steeped in history. Food was good but service sub par. Our server was terrible. Upon ordering we didn’t see her again until we had to flag her down for the check. We wanted to order additional items but she was nowhere to be found and the only other server left in our area was so busy it took so long we decided against ordering.
