Usually have an exceptional experience at Fresh Salt and the food is fantastic. Short Rib Open faced sandwich was great and my husband's salmon with cous-cous was delicious. However, the waitress was very nice, but not that available. We did not get any rolls to eat while looking at the menu though other tables seemed to have them. We were not offered any and never got any. My biggest beef was a drink I ordered before dinner: Maple Chai Old Fashioned for 16.95 Discription on menu: "Bulleit Bourbon, Maple-Chai Simple Syrup Orange Bitters, Luxardo Cherry, Orange Twist"; was awful. Tasted like Bourbon mixed with Fireball Liquor. No maple, orange bitters, cherry or orange twist. I tried to stir it with my knife but I could not drink it. Our waitress did not come back for me to substitute the drink, so we had to get someone else. I told her I did not think they gave me the correct drink. By the time my wine came (I never found out about the drink), we were already served our food. (Food came way too fast for a place like that). I usually like to have a cocktail or wine while waiting for the meal to relax-but drink came so late and food came so fast, didn't get the chance. It's such a nice place and the food is very good, so we will go again.

Delicious food, courteous and attentive servers and lovely atmosphere. I only wish we had planned to spend the night at the Inn after our meal instead of driving home!

Above all other things at the restaurant, service was amazing! There was a lot of staff to cater to the customers and very little wait time on food and drinks!

I made these reservations far enough in advance that I would have thought my special request would have been honored. Instead, we were seated in an overflow room that was so so. So, needless to say, I was a bit disappointed!

The food and service are generally better and faster. I opine that they took more reservations than normal because of the holiday and that negatively impacted the experience. I will say the octopus appetizer was phenomenal, but the steak was not very good, nor was my martini.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed an early VD dinner trying the halibut and beef Wellington. Both were excellent. He would have preferred the fish to be cooked a little longer, but that’s the only critique. We shared the hazelnut ice cream sundae named after the Ferraro Rocher candy. It came in a bowl that looked like a small bathtub! Too much deliciousness, but we succeeded in conquering the challenge!

In all, a very nice evening made so by the delicious food and Jeff who was attentive and considerate, friendly and funny, and around when we needed him. The prices, true generally in restaurants these days, were 15% higher than is reasonable.
