Gale's Restaurant is a totally local Pasadena spot for delicious Northern Italian fare, tucked away from the tourist chains in Old Town. Couples, families and friends that seem to have just finished a day outdoors snuggle among the brick walls and small marble tables, drinking cocktails and wine from elegant Brighton goblets. Start off with Bruschetta, Burrata Salad or Gale's Simple Salad and then move on to the country-style Tuscan steak or one of the house made ravioli specials. For dessert, don't miss the Tiramisu or Gale's iconic Coconut Cake. The wine list is a favorite among the guests for it's variety and excellent value.

Great food & service as usual. My only complaint is they were out of the coconut cake!!!! I was waiting all week to dig into it! Oh well, next time for sure!!!

Gale’s is the best and most consistent restaurant I’ve ever been to. Been going for 15 years and I love everything about it. The food is so good, it’s cozy and great service. Truly the best!!!!

Returning with fond memories for the first time in many years (having moved away). Our party of five include a couple who visit Gale's frequently. Everyone found the meal delightful overall. A pasta with shrimp and an amatriciana with seafood certainly looked fabulous. I deducted a little for food because an otherwise delicious branzino was too salty and a good fettucini carbonara featured a little too much bacon (guanciale?)—which I grant some diners might consider a plus. Shared a good-sized, yummy peach-and-blueberry crostata a la mode for dessert. Service, led by Esteban, was fantastic. We dined in the main room, which was much more open, less crowded than I recalled. The outdoor seating looked tempting for when the weather is warmer.

A wonderful Italian restaurant gem. Intimate, comfortable, good service and well prepared entrees. We dined family style to have more variety. Seafood ravioli and mushroom ravioli were tender and sauces very complimentary in taste. Antipasto salad was fresh. Everything pizza thin crust and a very good balance. Despite the restaurant being filled to capacity, both indoors and outdoors, the noise level was pleasantly low.

Met friends at Gale's for the first time. A nice neighborhood Italian restaurant away from the frenetic Pasadena Old town. Staff was very attentive and the food was very good. there are several dining areas, including around the kitchen, the bar, outside and a back room for overflow or groups. As it gets busy, particularly being near the kitchen it can get noisy. It's popular so reservations are advised.
