   We had an amazing dinner celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary & even got a nice surprise dessert treat from our waiter in honor of the event.

   I found this place from reading the Cigar Aficionado magazine and loved it!! Was hoping to meet Dean Poll but did not see him. However I saw Devin Ratray dining across from me ha! Steak was amazing. I am Deaf and my waiter knew sign language which was a bonus. Would definitely go back!

   We had a special and friendly service by George: he was so kind with our baby and he was so good with us with his advice in food & beverage too. I’m so sorry for the 3 stars, not because of him and neither for the food. We had a bad experience at the entrance with a woman that probably didn’t care about our baby when he said “hello” to her and she doesn’t do the same ignoring him. Maybe its better for you if you decide to not allowing kids. We also had a bad experience in the time waiting like 45 minutes with just 2 seats during the most of the time while we were 3. And we were in the restaurant half time before the reservation. But the final was terrible. We decide to pay without any tips, I repeat not for the great waiter we had, but for these experiences in general, and 2 different people came to us to ask us to leave the tip on the table! Crazy! I’m so sorry about it.

   We went to Gallaghers to celebrate our engagement and from the first second we walked in it was everything we could have asked for. Walking in and feeling an incredible buzz straight away, seeing the open kitchen with the brick ovens and the smells was also incredible. Our server Jason was outstanding the whole evening as were all the staff and made the evening extra special. Jason’s recommendation of the Tomahawk was spot on and every course was amazing.    The restaurant is delicious, as always. However, I went for a business dinner last night, and the card I needed to use is a virtual company credit card connected to Apple pay. Apple pay doesn't work (a mystery to me) and we hadn't been informed in advance, otherwise we would have probably booked elsewhere

   Food was delicious but very expensive. Be prepared to pay a lot of money. Service was very slow. Seated at 5pm, ordered after 15min. Didn’t receive my food until 6pm. Ended up having to ask the waiter to rush the desert as I had a Broadway show at 7pm.

   This was our second time here after two years and made reservations way in advance to be seated before 4:00 for the most magnificent deal in all of New York City. The three courses were perfection, steak cut like butter and we will definitely visit again when in town.

   The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because we stood in front of the host for a very long time while he talked on the phone, then he helped a couple that was there before us and then got on the phone again before helping us! I wanted to turn around and leave. Thankful we stayed because the food and wait staff were both excellent! Just a bad first impression with a host like that.
