If you’re looking for authentic southern cuisine, with the exception of the fried chicken, I wouldn’t recommend. Everything’s ok, but their prices correlate to deliciousness. If I’m going to pay delicious prices and a 22% gratuity, I’d like delicious food, better service (our server was sweet, just absent-minded), and a shorter wait time(50 minutes is a long time to wait without notice of the kitchen being backed up).

The hostess was wonderful. She was very polite and offered us coat check. The server (can't remember his name...but he had like a Louisiana accent) was so attentive. He made suggestions for us to try as it was our first time there. He was also very attentive. The service made this a great place to stop while visiting D.C.

The food was bland, horrible, certainly not worth over $100 meal. The drinkers were super duper strong, and not good. For a 22 percent tip to be mandatory, I would prefer not to see my waiter only three times. I can get over the waiter portion if the food was good, it was absolutely disappointing, the “yams” tasted straight out of a can. The pork chop was cooked super hard. Brussel sprouts had only oil with no seasoning on them.

I dined here with a friend and, being from the Low country, was excited about the menu. The Sunday brunch was awesome. There was a variety of selections and the food did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to coming for dinner the next time I’m in town.

I would not do the brunch thing again. The 4 courses, was just okay. Our server forgot to bring the bread and my drink was empty for a while before I had to flag her down and ask for a refill. The app and main course were good. The omelette was over cooked but the one guy was doing like 5 at once. I paid $80 total with food plus tip and it definitely wasn’t worth that. Sad bc I really had high hopes for this place.:(

Started out rough when we were left standing for almost 20 minutes and we had a reservation. Communication was pretty poor among the staff. When we were finally seated, we sat unattended for a while. Our server stopped twice to tell us he’d be back. He was nice but the service was very slow. Some of the food came out incorrect. They were out of several items on the bourbon list. The food was just okay, not worth the bill we paid for it. Which is my next complaint… 22% tip is automatically added to every bill. Doesn’t give the server much motivation to work if they are guaranteed 22% before they ever approach the table.
