   I haven’t been to DC in at while. Remembered this place as having great food and impeccable service. Did not disappoint at all!!

   The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My only issue is the automatic 22 percent tip. I dined alone. I understand an automatic gratuity for parties over 6. Usually that is in the range of 18 or 20 percent. I wonder who, or what ,they are trying to discourage from dining at this restaurant.

   22% gratuity included for a party of three is insane! 18% seems reasonable, but to assume the service was worth 22% is audacious!

   Good ambience and vibe. Dinner was good in the restaurant. I would recommend to check your to go meals. I would placed a to go order of beef stew, got it home and it was nothing but broth…🤦🏾‍♀️ No beef, no vegetables…it was more like the bottom of the pot.. I would’ve rather they said it was sold out for the night. Other than the it was a good experience and I would return again.

   My grandmother and I came here to celebrate my birthday. I have never been here before and have been trying to get here for some time now so this was perfect. The place has a really nice ambience and I loved the dim lighting. I will say that the heat was on highhh so it was a bit warm. We were brought the cornbread sticks as the bread for the table and it was overcooked. Very hard and dry. The butter also had a fridge taste (it had to have been uncovered for some time). For appetizer’s, we ordered the calamari and the deviled eggs which were both good! For our meal, I ordered the crab cakes and my gma ordered the lamp chops! Her lamp chops were really good! The sauce was flavorful and they were cooked pretty well. My food was just okay! I enjoyed the old bay sidewinders (fries) and the crab cake was not bad but I am here to talk about the price. ONE crab cake with a side of fries, jalapeño creamed corn and a very small serving of coleslaw (2 spoonfuls of that) cost $65! I was in SHOCK! I can see this being the price for 2 crab cakes but one, to me, is outlandish. The saving grace of this day were the people running the show. From the bartender, to the hostess to those who waited on us, chefs kiss! The service was incredible! Everybody was extremely attentive and so kind! I mentioned to our waitress upon arrival that it was my birthday celebration and she remembered and brought me a desert with a candle! Made my night.

   Menu has a large selection of southern food. The food was outstanding and service very attentive. Great place for a special occasion.

   We had an 8:30 reservation and arrived on time. It took some time to get us seated but the restaurant was almost half empty. We placed our order for some biscuits, fried chicken and shrimp and grits. Once we placed our order they brought us a little basket of corn bread sticks, which were not very good, they were over baked and hard. The biscuits came and they weren't very good. We asked to have them replaced and they were no better so we didn't eat them. They were removed from the check and we thanked them. The fried chicken was 2 breast's, one which was good and the other overcooked. It was replaced and was better. Wife loved the shrimp and grits. When the check came, there was a 22% gratuity already on it, and there were only 2 of us. The service we received was good but not great. Would we go back, maybe.

    Georgia Brown’s is an institution and they always delivers great food in a vibrant environment. Service seems to have slipped somewhat, for example, our main courses were delivered to a table of used dishes that still needed removal and they still didn’t take the dishes after we shoved everything to the side. Seems like their wait staff wasn’t really communicating well. Food and drinks were great as always!
