One of my old favourites, in the past the service has been inconsistent but it was spot on last Saturday in the pre theatre time slot. Loved the crispy yet moist shoulder of suckling pig, plenty big enough for four adult men with just a couple of sides.

Great food prepared with care using fresh ingredients. The potted shrimps were aong the best I have tasted whilst the rollled old spot was tender and beautifully sauced.

Table was booked for 12.00 we were greeted by friendly staff who confirmed our booking and took us to our table. We were asked if we would like a jug of tap water. We were given our menus and asked if we would like drinks We chose a nice bottle of Red. We ordered our food which did not disappoint. One had Onglet, one had old Spot, one had Sole, and one had pollock. The food was cooked to perfection. We then ordered a second bottle of the red wine. The lady brought the wine to our table with another clean glass so that one of us could make sure it was consistent as the first bottle This is the correct way to serve a second bottle of wine and this is rarely done in other restaurants so well done to the waitress, that was first class.

I've been several times to this restaurant in the past and loved it. However, my recent visit was very disappointing. The service was very slow. The server was either overworked or disappeared for more than 20-30 minutes - so we had to chase her down for water refills. Additionally, the steak we ordered we wanted medium, the waitress insisted that it should be medium rare. It was too rare for my liking.

We (four old friends) had a lovely, extended meal here on the evening of Friday 12th April. The restaurant was as busy as ever, but not overly so and although we overstayed were not hurried out. Really well prepared food. Fresh. Tasty. Fabulous selection of starters and mains, each of us would have happily chosen 3 or 4 from each - so plenty of Choice. Greet wine selection too. All very reasonably priced for the heart of Covent Garden. Service prompt, attentive and graceful. Can’t think of that many places in London I will keep returning to regularly! Treat yourself :)

Incredible food, great staff. It's pricey but worth it. One of the best dining experiences around Covent Garden in my opinion.
