   Another wonderful experience at Haliimaile — one of our ‘must go’ restaurants on Maui. Usually we go for dinner, but it was windy at the beach today so we had lunch instead — flank steak tacos with ube tortillas, yum, and Paniolo ribs with slaw and fries, yummm. The star of our lunch was the banana, apple cheesecake which was delicious and so light, and we wished we had ordered another one to take with us. Service was impeccable and friendly. It’s always a warm, welcome home kind of vibe at Haliimaile General Store.

   We went to Twin Falls and then dinner here. Our waiter was so nice with our large group. Food was just okay, given the price and expectations. But we’re finding that most restaurants on Maui are pricey.

   Lovely place and nice service. Delicious and creative FOOD!! Loved the poke, bun mi, and chocolate hazelnut cake with crema! Be patient, as when it’s busy, servers are really hustling to cover all tables. My only complaint is that open table confirmed our 5:15 reservation a week in advance, but then on the day of, sent an incorrect reminder for 3:15! This was alarming, as it was my husband’s birthday and we were coming to HI from mainland to celebrate. The restaurant seated us without issue, though.

   Terrible. Took 45 minutes to get seated from a reservation. They put us in some corner away from any ambience. Waitress took another 15 to come to table. Drinks came 15 after. Appetizer arrived with main meals. Food was bland & over priced. They charged $23 for a tiny piece of fish to go on a $18 salad. This is a complete skip for anyone even considering it. We’ve come for 20 years & it’s progressively gotten worse. Never coming back or recommending!

   Lovely restaurant. Food was impressive. Staff was gracious and enthusiastic. Would definitely recommend and stop there again.

   The food was awful. From a lazy buffet display to poor taste and quality. Nothing like their regular menu. What a disappointing Christmas dinner.

   The Mac and cheese wasn’t the best. The desserts were so so . There was no straight horseradish.
