    We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Higgins. Their rendition of a classic turkey dinner was amazing, the brined breast moist and tender, the confit legs delicious. Great service, as always. We have never had a bad experience there.

    Higgins nails it every time! Very attentive service,excellent variety of menu for Thanksgiving, and we never felt rushed. SO good!!

    Four of us had Thanksgiving dinner at this iconic Portland restaurant, one of the few “oldies” to survive the pandemic. You will not find better service anywhere - every single staff person here provides outstanding customer service and excel in their fields. The food was fine - nothing memorable, but they were putting out 5 courses to a full restaurant all day long and managed to pull it off, so they get points for that IMO!

    Overall experience was very good. The only issue was they gave our table away we had in the bar so we ended up sitting in the main restaurant. We were a few minutes ahead of time for our reservation, so it seemed odd. Other than that situation the food and service was great.

    It's been awhile since we've eaten at Higgins. In the past, we've had excellent meals. Hopefully, last night was just one bad night. Two of us had the special stuffed sole with sticky rice and broccoli. The entire meal was dry, lacking in flavor, and luke warm. It was like it sat in the oven warming way too long and lost any heat and moisture.
