   Food and services as always excellent with very pleasant “ vibe”. Pricey but worth it if in your budget for the experience, quality, and long time hospitality.

   As always it’s delightful to be at Higgins Bar in a cozy booth being treated great food and great ambiance. 💕. Thanks to our waiter too. Oh! And the little surprise amuse bouche.

   My daughter and I enjoyed our first meal at Higgins a few days ago. We shared a well-composed Caesar salad, the centerpiece of which was a massive, lovely anchovy. We then split the ribeye special. We enjoyed the homey atmosphere and mood of the restaurant, but the lighting was not sufficient to see what we were eating, which is too bad because the salad would have looked better with more light. Our server was solicitous and well-informed, but when I ordered a bottle of the Chateauneuf-de-Pape, he returned to inform me that they were sold out of it. We settled on a satisfying local Pinot Noir, but would have been happier with the French red. The ribeye special was supposed to be a 16-ounce cut, but our server told us that they only had 14-ounce cuts left. I was disappointed that there were not one but two surprises - the steak and the wine - in our meal. The steak was well-prepared but not extraordinary, and it was not cheap. Clearly there is a serious intent in the kitchen, but this was not the "legendary" Higgins I had so much about. That said, I would return for a second meal; it may just have been a slightly off night.

   The service was impressive! What you find on the menu is not the typical selection. I had duck and was very happy about how it tasted.

   Exceptional service , great vibe, food was well above average. When you want an above average night out but don’t want the stuffy atmosphere this would be the spot. Based on eating in the bar area. If you want a more intimate time go to the dining room. Highly recommend reservations especially if go with the intention of a show down the street afterwards. I would go back again just for the awareness of the staff for those trying to time showtime after dinner.

   We love Higgins— it is extremely consistent and always delicious. The bar vibe is great — less formal, more chill, and you can order from whole menu. It’s honestly a 30 year favorite spot. I can’t eat gluten and there’s always great gf options.
