This is a good finer dining restaurant for overall value in the hotel zone. Our favorite item was surprisingly the tableside salad. Probably one of the best house salads I've been served. The prime rib was generous but had an unusually large piece of fat attached that wasn't very appealing and should have been trimmed. The Scottish salmon was good and also well portioned. Part of the good value here is that the salad and potato/rice and vegetable (asparagus on this day) are included with the entree. Many LV restaurants would charge extra. I recommend the bananas foster, it was tasty and nicely done tableside. They have some extra touches with the lady-gets-a-rose and a sorbet palate cleanser. The team of servers did a fine job. Once the restaurant fills up the noise level goes to moderate, but was never overly loud. Atmosphere and dress code remains on the more casual side. Overall recommended, but the blob of fat and not-so-special main courses leave this at a 4 for us.

Hugo’s Cellar is a glimpse of old school Las Vegas, red rose for all the Ladies upon entrance, waiter Captions in Tuxedo, table side salads made to your specifications and then 100% the best food and dining experience. Try there Martinis 🍸

Steve at the front was excellent. Our server Roxanne was good. Food was good (I had chicken), but the last time I was there, I had the lamb chops and they were fantastic. I will be back next time i am visiting

Very overpriced, had roasted prime rib 24 ozs for 98.00, was tough even cooked medium, should have been tender, and very tasteless, also veal scallopini was maybe 6-8 once it was tasty, but not worth 85.00 . When my husband told the waiter to have the chef taste the prime rib he was serving, all service went downhill. We did not expect to get anything for free, complained to the quality of a 95.00 dollar steak. My husband ordered seafood trio, shrimp, salmon and scallops, salmon was watery and mushy, again way overpriced. We also ordered a banana foster for dessert, made table side, the ice cream or ice milk had a taste the was of old ice cream. Our bill was over 500.00 for 5 of us, 1 martini, 1 old fashion, 1 grey goose and refill. We did not leave a tip because of the attitude the waiter gave us after we complained. We have gone to Hugo cellar for many years. Last time was 7 years ago, quality then went down hill. But we thought we’d try it again. Now we know we will never go back. Sad how bad a place can go down. For expecting a high quality of beef and get burned, really sad
