Nicely appointed, charming little Italian in the heart of Manhattan. Excellent service, good food, with a good wine selection.

Great spot. Great food, very small and pretty loud, but it was perfect for my wife, 4 grandchildren and me. Service was excellent and the pasta very authentic. I had the Raviolli special. and it was exceptions as was the Caesar salad. Very local spot so not at all touristy.

This restaurant is capable of making some excellent dishes, and the waitservice was reasonably attentive and friendly. The avacado/artichoke appetizer and the osso buco were standouts (the best osso buco one of us had ever had). The desserts were all quite good (and I am not a big dessert person) - one of our guests felt it was the best tiramisu that she had ever had. The cocktails were generous and good, and the waiter made a perfect wine recommendation to go with the Branzino Livornese. However, when we arrived for our reservation we stood at the front of the restaurant for almost 10 minutes and nobody ever came to speak with us - we finally took matters into our own hands and sought out our friends who had already been seated in the back. The quality of the salmon was not good (not fresh), although the preparation was fine. The Branzino Livornese was good, but the Livornese sauce could have had more flavor (oddly too, there were no olives in it - a classic element of this preparation - and only a few capers). We were surprised that there was no bread service offered to us. The salads were generally disappointing - basically green salads with a small number of elements added (e.g., 4 slices of pear) - 3 different salads were virutally identical with the exception of these elements. It is a small restaurant and tables are a bit crowded together; the noise level makes it hard to have conversations with anyone other than the person directly across from you. We would come again based on the very good dishes that were served, but we hope that the problematic initial service and the less good dishes were an abberation that night.

Delicious food and outstanding server staff. Great option for dinner but the restaurant is in a long interior shape and the seating area has no windows.
