Making a reservation was easy, which surprised me since it was a Mardi Gras weekend. We were sat at a good table and greeted promptly. Service was very good, my glass was never empty. We started with an order of truffle fries that were VERY DELICIOUS. It was a large order and we should have probably ate half of them since it was filling. For main entree, my wife ordered the duck (rare was suggested) with Brussels. I love duck, but this was very chewy and small portioned. Neither one of us were a fan. Perhaps we should have asked for it to be medium rare or medium. I ordered a ribeye. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was a good sized portion but WAY overpriced. I had greens for my side. They had a STRONG vinegar taste. It was a little much for me. We did not have dessert for two reasons: we were full and could not eat another bite, and the meal took a LONG time. I’m assuming they delayed each course waiting on us to finish the previous course, but we would have preferred to have it cooked when we ordered. We sat there for over 2 hours, much of which we spent waiting for food. It was nice but we probably won’t be back.

Food was amazing. I highly recommend the truffle fries for an app and the filet for the main course. Steak was good to my preference and the black garlic butter was an excellent addition.

Just had an unforgettable meal at Restaurant IRON—every bite was perfection. We started with the Hatch chile croquettes, featuring Shelburne aged cheddar, pickled okra, and habanero pepper jelly, offering the perfect balance of heat, richness, and acidity. Next was the foie gras ‘PB & J’, a luxurious twist on a classic with almond butter, strawberry jam, basil sauce, balsamic, and cinnamon milk punch on craft bakery toast—crisp, creamy, and decadent. With our appetizers, we enjoyed two fantastic drinks: the King Cake Whiskey Sour, made with king cake-infused bourbon, lemon, and egg white, dusted with festive Mardi Gras sugar, and the Pink Skies, a vibrant mocktail of raspberries, pineapple shrub, vanilla, and lime—perfectly balanced between sweet and tart. For the entrée, I had the elk rack, cooked rare and incredibly tender, paired with cognac crawfish cream, mashed potatoes, and crisp asparagus. The seared lamb loin was another standout, with mint-pea purée, dill, pomegranate arils, lemon-infused couscous, and sautéed beech mushrooms, creating the perfect harmony of brightness and depth. With her entrée, my wife had the Night Moves, a bourbon-based cocktail with Cynar, rosemary, lime, and pomegranate, elegantly garnished with a dark flower. I had the Perfect Pear, a non-alcoholic spiced pear shrub with lime and bitters—like an upscale pear soda. For dessert, we indulged in the icebox Nutella pie, featuring Nutella cremeux, a toasted pretzel crust, caramel sauce, and Maldon Sea Salt. My wife’s espresso martini was a revelation, made with Iron Blend-infused spirit, roasted chicory, Heirloom Pineapple Amaro, and cream, delivering robust coffee flavor with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. This meal was an experience—one I’d gladly relive. If you haven’t been to Restaurant IRON yet, go. Now.

First time was a hit! Amazing dinner and cocktails and a fun dining experience watching the kitchen in action from the counter. We left and went to our event and came back after for dessert! The Nutella icebox pie was insanely good. The staff was very knowledgeable all the dishes and made excellent recommendations! Can’t wait to come back again!

Everything was incredible! It’s rare that we don’t come home with leftovers- there wasn’t a scrap left over! The drinks, food, and service were all top notch! Will certainly be back soon!

As always I loved the food and service. This was the first time trying the 'First Dibs' menu, and I highly recommend anyone getting this. It's offered from 4:30-5:30 pm, 3 course sharable meal, with optional wine pairing. We got a seasonal appetizer and the Elk Rack as a second main dish, absolutely amazing. Might make this a monthly reoccurrence.
