What a wonderful anniversary dinner we had last night. The appetizers were beyond delicious along with our dinners. The service was flawless and all the staff are so kind. It’s truly a special restaurant.

We are new to the area and we found this restaurant on OpenTable. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted a place that was quiet, great food & wine and service. The Iron Gate far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Our waiter, Stamos, was fantastic! His recommendations were spot on. We had escargot to start. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. We then had their signature salad which was prepared table side. I don't think I've ever had a better salad. For our main course, we had the Iron Gate version of lamb (there was also a New Zealand rack option) and the veal parmigiana. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and just phenomenal. For dessert, we had the grand mariner souffle and it was incredible. One of the best things about the restaurant was watching all of the flambe dishes. The servers were just so precise and you could tell they are passionate about giving each diner an experience.

One of the best restaurants on the Peninsula. We’ve been going to Iron Gate for over 25 years, and each time we receive attentive service and enjoy the food so much that we’re reminded why it’s a favorite. The menu offers a perfect balance of classic dishes each prepared with care and beautifully presented. The ambiance is warm and inviting, whether you’re there for a romantic evening or a special celebration. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure an exceptional dining experience. Iron Gate has truly stood the test of time, maintaining its high standards while continuing to surprise and delight. We can’t recommend it enough!

This restaurant is consistently great. WE had a wonderful meal. It does seem they have added additional tables and seems a bit more crowded than before and noisier. But it didn't take away from the great food and service.

The IRON GATE is always the perfect choice ! It's the best destination for a Romantic Evening for 2 or lunch with the girls. Always consistent, always friendly and always a treat !

Loved personable waiters, and tableside cooking experiences. My Caesar salad's dressing was unpleasant to me (although my 2 companions were contented)--too much mustard &/or lemon. Zucchini Blossom special was outstanding--voted favorite dish of the night. My Sole was tasty, although slightly overcooked; and the included sides were unremarkable. Others heartily enjoyed their Veal and Steak.
