   Food has high highs and some more medium. Kansas City NY Strip was incredibly delicious, plain and simple. Fried calamari starter was very tasty, great crunch, but found most of the squid a tad overcooked. Gratin potatoes with the steak were rich, cheesy, creamy and addictive. Asparagus were grilled nicely but some tough woody ends should have been trimmed a speck more. Crème brûlée was simply delicious with no need to look elsewhere for better. Lastly our waiter was perfect in every way. Staff were all completely delightful. Can’t wait to go back.

   Gilbert's is usually fabulous! This time it was still good, but not up to its usual high standard. The fillet mignon's were over cooked. The waitress was efficient, but not the most pleasant. She was very quick to clean items off of the table. The bread was great as always but not enough for four people. There was not an opportunity to ask for additional bread, as it and the butter, were promptly removed without checking to see if we were finished.

   What a find! First time here ..found searching internet everything was perfect from ambiance to food to outstanding service from long time waitress Lisa. Had the Kansas Strip on recommendation from Lisa. Partner had filet mignon Sides of cream corn to die for Back potato and fixings’ perfect Took advantage of Monday special 25% bottle of Silver Oak..(if under $100 get 50% off!) Everyone is professional as can be from Lisa our server to food runner to buser.. We will be back ..delightful

   Business dinner. Cocktails were excellent and generous. Service was great. We shared dishes so were able to sample, appetizer of pretzel coated onion, which was amazing. We had the flat iron steak cooked perfectly. Real mashed potatoes. Skinny little onion shards, which were great. The seafood medley which gave everyone to taste of shrimp, scallop, salmon, and crabcake and for dessert, the crème brûlée was off the charts.

   J.Gilberts is my go to restaurant when I want to celebrate something good in my life. It makes the event that much more memorable . Great food with a personal touch on service. And just when you think the night get any better along comes the desert that ends the night on a spectacular note. J. Gilbert’s never disappoints 🥳👏👍
