Jacques Brasserie is a relaxing sanctuary deep in the heart of the Upper East Side. Low key and inviting, this two-room restaurant and bar serves classic French dishes amongst dark wooden walls adorned with vintage poster advertisements and bohemian scenes a la Toulouse-Lautrec.

Open seven days a week, Jacques Brasserie serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

I enjoyed duck confit with polenta and creme brulee for dessert. My guests enjoyed roasted chicken, tuna tartare and salads. The table was large, comfortable and well positioned for both lovely views and conversation. Service was superb. Thank you.

                                                                                                        Quiet table ideal for conversation, delicious food and attentive service made this dining experience wonderful. I loved the special (duck in two forms) and my guest enjoyed onion soup and tuna tartare. We were both delighted with chocolate mousse. We will be back soon!

The wait staff is so pleasant and helpful. We've been going there for over 20 years. A great restaurant and a local favorite.

                                                                                                        I eat here fairly often but tonight the noise level was overwhelming to the point where we couldn't converse across our small table. There was a large group eating dinner near us that was drinking heavily, moving around the room, and yelling to each other down the length of the long common table. The matre de did come and ask them to quiet down, but they did not. I must say that if we encounter this atmosphere again at what has been one of our favorite spots, it will affect our desire to keep going there .
