                                                                                                                                                  We celebrated my friend's birthday before heading to the Pantages Theatre. We all ordered the tasting menu, which was phenomenal. Cocktails were great, service was fantastic. It is one of our favorite places to eat before the theatre.

                                                                                                                                                  We were sat immediately, but it took a while for any server to come over and greet us. In fact, the manager took our order when it was clear that none of the servers realize we were in their section. When a server did appear, he explained there had been a mixup getting a Tree from the Sushi chef. A very nice gesture. The food is always was delicious and I appreciated the acknowledgment of the mistake in surface. It’s a solid restaurant great for pre-theater or pre-concert.

We had reservations for 5pm on the opening night of Wicked. We went through several rounds of ordering, including dessert and we made it to the theater with barely minutes to spare. But the server, Anthony and his team were amazing! The drinks, sake, and food were so fresh and super delicious! We loved the yellowtail sashimi and jalapeño appetizer, the popcorn rock shrimp, the tai sashimi and sushi, and the baked crab rolls. My husband also really enjoyed the whitefish carpaccio. Highly recommend the lychee martinis and the baked mochi balls (surprisingly light and delicious)! The food hit the table and it was demolished before we could snap pictures (lol). We ate, drank and spent a lot - but this was definitely an elevated experience for us. I can’t wait for the next special occasion so we can come again! What a night to remember!

                                                                                                                                                  The Katsuya Fresh cocktail was delicious and not strong. I really liked the Miso Black Cod, just wish it was a little bigger for the price. My mom enjoyed the salmon. The overall ambience is lovely and I loved the welcome shout from the chefs when everyone walked in. The service was very good as well.

Been coming for about 15 years! Only wish they wouldn’t take away favorites from the menu. The edamame gyoza, the steak with mushrooms taginaki. But overall best location in hollywood and best upscale restaurant in the area

                                                                                                                                                  I always start with Hamachi sushi when first going to a sushi restaurant. The Hamachi was tender, not overly cold, and the rice was substantial enough to hold the fish but not hard or cold, again a great temperature. Thank being delicious, everything we ordered was great. I especially like the cod bite w/ miso. Prices are a bit high but the overall quality of this restaurant is great and based on its reputation lives up to the hype
