   I wanted to love this knowing it was at the Watergate, but I really didn’t care for the food. I was surprised. The bread basket was awesome! However, kale Caesar salad was super dry. I got the Ora King Salmon and it really wasn’t anything special. I was disappointed in the Caponata as I didn’t recall experiencing any fried eggplant but rather a lot of red peppers. The side of mushrooms was good. My dessert, the Chocolate & Hazelnut Mousse Cake, was exquisite and I paired it with a 20 yr Tawny Port. That was amazing! I can’t say I’d return as it was a high price for food that me and my party were not excited about but appreciated the ambiance and dessert.

   Paid over $250 for two people for afternoon tea. Ambiance was not great, looked like they found a place in the corner of the restaurant for tea time. On top of that service wasn’t amazing either, took a while to get attention and to get started. Gratuity was added in at 20%+ and didn’t include parking. I recognize afternoon tea in DC isn’t cheap, though this was just not value for the amount paid. Place is difficult to find parking wise, no signs on where to turn in. We should have gone to the St Regis given how much we paid and how the experience really was. Go somewhere else and get value for your $.

   Was looking for simple late night supper at the hotel we were staying in. It was convenient but food was terrible. Our server was helpful and friendly but the kitchen failed.

   This is street level at the Watergate. The food was fresh and well- prepared, more casual than elegant, and filling nonetheless. The proximity to the Kennedy Center made it a perfect choice for pre-concert dining.

   The service was over the top, the filet cooked to perfection and ambience is also excellent. I highly recommended, must visit.

   The best customer service from doormen to host. Every aspect of the hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is beautiful and every bell and whistle is manifested here. The view along side the spread and service AMAZING. I will be back ☕️with more friends! My bff enjoyed her birthday High Tea celebration

   The hostess and our waiter Miguel were both lovely. They made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice. I was disappointed in the food however. Specifically the Black Truffle Risotto. I love risotto- it can be a stand alone dish or paired nicely with a variety of main dishes. This risotto was not done well. There was no al dente noted to the short grain, infact it was stale mush like. No creaminess and the cheeses seemed stale (for lack of better word). The asparagus was done perfectly, but the mushrooms seemed like an afterthought. We also had the Branzino and that too was lacking. The plate came with a hand tied small bushel of herbs, which was nice but also left me wishing that detail was in the other good preparation.

    Drinks, appetizer, and dessert was amazing. Dinner was a little less than I would expect for the prize. The ambiance is very nice. We were seated at a booth to start and that was not good. Booth seating was torn, too low to the ground, and would not have been comfortable for us. Location is great next to Kennedy Center.
