Food is excellent, but the empty, dirty dishes from the previous course do not need to be left on the table when the next course is brought. Also, it would be nice if the silverware would changed. The waiter was annoyed when I tried to help him open the bottle of wine at which he was making a total mess.

The Open Table listing Did Not clearly show it was BYOB as others do, eg in the name of the restaurant. That was a surprise to us as visitors to the city. The veal was unremarkable and slathered in what seemed like gravy not a demi glaze. the place seems to have a loyal following, with a line out the door, but we were not impressed. it was fine, but wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

I pre selected an indoor seat when making my reservation. When arriving we were told there was a party inside and we could only sit outside. We then had ti scrambled to find a reservation somewhere inside as it was 50 degrees and too cold for us to stay outside.

My daughter goes to school at Temple and we found this place 4 years ago and have been coming back ever since when we are in town to visit her. Food is delicious. It is BYOB so make sure you come prepared if you want a drink. Service is always excellent.

We have eaten at a couple of their locations at the Shore, and this was our first visit to this location in Center City. They are known for great service, tasty recipes, and lovely restaurants, and that was true here. We’ll definitely be back!

Waiter barely checked in with our table. Took him 20 minutes to even come to us for our drink orders. Had to consistently ask for water refills too. Food was ok but a couple people in the group had upset stomachs after. Would not go back.

Found this little hidden gem for a last minute dinner. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was cooked to perfection with care and love. Everything was delicious from the appetizers, main course, and the dessert. I highly recommend La Fontana.

We made a reservation but when we checked in early found that the reservations before us had still not been seated so we opted to eat outside because we saw a table open. We waited for 30 minutes and never saw a waiter so finally flagged down one who agreed to take our order. They need to figure out a better system to manage the service end of it.
