Because we rely on the bounty of the Santa Cruz farming community, our menu changes frequently and features a wide array of specials. La Posta’s all-Italian wine list includes autochthonous varieties from small producers, by-the-glass and by the bottle.

La Posta adheres to the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Program and is a certified City of Santa Cruz Green Business.

Great everything! Wonderful service. True Italian food from different regions. The Rotolo, with chanterelle mushrooms was great. And, the pizza with garlic cream sauce and chanterelle mushrooms was as good as it gets. Almond tart with gelato and tiramisu were outstanding. As good of dining experience you can expect.

Service was excellent including great assist with wine selection. The food never disappoints, but my scallops and prawns were especially tasty. Wonderful evening.

The food was great (except for the dessert cheese platter) but the service was not. We waited 30 minutes with no waiter contact between the appetizer and main. When he brought us dessert spoons we let him know we had not received our main course. I assume at that point he put the order in because another 15 minutes later we got our mains. They were apologetic about the mix up, but honestly it’s inexcusable to not have anymore ask why we might be sitting at a cleared table for 30 minutes as food is delivered all around us. We won’t be back.
