It might have been a bad night. Service was abrupt, sausage was gristly, pasta dishes just average except the homemade pasta with light tomato and basil. That was delicious. A large birthday crowd next to us didn’t help the ambiance. Host should have been aware they were coming and placed us elsewhere.

The service was a little too slow…there was mild impatience among the party.

The service was great but it wasn't crowded. Lasagna was fantastic, vegetable salad was too.

What a disappointment. Went for lunch. I ordered the antipasto salad which was basically strips of thinly sliced vegetables soaking in olive oil and lemon for which I was charged $14. My friend ordered the caprese salad, which was 3 pieces of fresh mozzarella with 3 plum tomatoes on top; no basil, for $17.50. The soup of the day was very good and a good size portion. Service was good and everyone who worked there was very pleasant. Overall, the food was a disappointment and greatly overpriced. Lunch was $65, and I left hungry. This place used to be really good, but is clearly past its prime. It is still trying to be a high-end Italian restaurant, but is just overpriced with mediocre food. Don't waste your time. Go to Il Mundo Vecchio instead.

Food was very good. I tried wild boar. Very tasty. Place was listed as a romantic spot. Screaming kids nearby made it anything but romantic. Waiter pushed expensive Pinot noir on us when my wife asked for the house version. Was not worth the $7 difference in price per glass. Our waiter disappeared after we finished our dinner. He waited quite a while to find him to order dessert & coffee; which he brought together. I would not go back.

Food was excellent. Shared eggplant rollatini and octopus salad. Had veal scallopini. All the food was excellent as Was the service. We were a group of six and we were a little loud.

I have been here only twice. Fantastic each time. Had figs and prosciutto. Figs grown in back of the parking lot. Only in Jersey. Cod in tomato sauce with onions and potatoes was out of sight. Love this place. Great wine too. Wife had sea bass and it was fresh and cooked right. Will go back

We dined here on a recommendation and what a mistake that was. When we entered, we were greeted by a heavy musty odor. My first instinct was to leave and I should have followed it. As we walked through the restaurant to our table, it became clear that the mustiness permeated the entire restaurant. The odor was so nauseating that I wanted to leave without ordering food, but my companion was embarrassed to do so. I twice asked if there had been a recent flood in the building, but the gentleman who seated us appeared to ignore my inquiries. I made what I thought would be a safe choice and ordered one of their speciality pizzas. When it arrived on what can most charitably be described as a frozen dough disk rather than freshly baked pizza dough, it was evident that even the safe choice was not worth being offered at a pizzeria, let alone a restaurant that holds itself out as being high-end and prices its menu accordingly. My companion ordered monkfish which she felt was passable. From the pizza quality, it was clear that the pizza oven that is located inside the front door is nothing more than a prop. This probably is one of the worst reviews I’ve ever given restaurant but I could not honestly say anything better. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed and will not be back and I would not recommend it to anyone else. There is much better quality Italian food available elsewhere.

The place may not look like much from the outside but once you get inside you can see this is no cookie cutter Italian restaurant. The specials list is almost as long as the regular menu. Grilled Octopus was exceptional, Sea bass was simple but perfect. Very good meats in the Italian anti pasta. Great service and you don't feel rushed.
