Restaurants near Wellesley Subway Station

Absolutely stunning. Easily the best meal we've had since visiting Legume in Seoul, and definitely in our top three restaurants post-pandemic (it's hard to remember pre-pandemic so I don't like going back that far). In North America, it may even be the best one! The restaurant is quite small -- 20 seats total (I counted!), of which two are four-tops and the rest two-tops, so a total of 8 tables. The evening we were there, there were a total of two front-of-house people we interacted with, both of whom were knowledgeable and friendly. The presentation, flavors, and variety of the food were all superb. This is how vegan food is meant to be, truly! We did the five-course meal, which was quite filling. That said, the next time we visit Toronto we're already thinking of how to do the eight-course -- skip breakfast; ask for just one plate for certain dishes; ...? Highly, highly recommend!

Dopamina feels like a criminally underrated restaurant in Toronto, the food is unbelievably good and there is clearly a massive amount of attention put into every component of every dish. Dishes that can readily be found elsewhere are taken to a completely different level (their beef tartare is hands down the best I've ever had), and their own creations are home-run takes on classical preparations with Japanese ingredients (their Agnolotti is to die for). The service is also absolutely amazing and really completes an incredible experience. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a really elevated dining experience in Toronto! P.S: Their cocktails are extremely good, I had the "Surprise Me" and it was an utterly delicious drink but also perfectly cleansed my palette between courses

Had a wonderful dinner at Bumpkin's with family. Don't let the name fool you. While not upscale chic, Bumpkins is traditional with outstanding service and food. Min was very welcoming and attentive to our family of 4 adults and 2 children (8 and 6). Min took our drink and soup order (hubby was hungry) while we waited for the rest of the family. When they came, he immediately brought 2 baskets of fresh bread right out of the oven to hold the kids over. The restaurant has a varied selection of meals but they specialize in steak and seafood. The French onion soup my husband ordered came out piping hot. He said it was very good and with the proper cheese used. We ordered our meals and they came out without much of a wait. Steaks were done to perfections for all of us (med. rare, medium and medium plus). Grandson asked for a kids menu which they don't have but Min said "yes, they can accommodate to whatever the kids wanted". Grandson received a beautiful plate of crispy fried chicken breast cut to look like chicken strips, with fresh steamed veggies and fries. Can't remember the other dinners but all were perfect - fresh and spiced well. Dessert was delicious- chocolate and coconut ice cream tartuffi with a variety of berries. Very good value for dollars spent. We'll definitely go back. Entire staff was professional, attentive and very personable.

Loved the menu, the ambiance, and the service at Bar Avelo. Had the cheese board, flat bread, spiced cake from the Bar menu and all of it was delicious. I loved that even their drinks menu was entirely vegan. Can't wait to come back to try the 5 course menu at the Restaurant downstairs.

The food and service were lovely as always. A true hidden Toronto gem.
