On arriving at the Relais du Vin, you will have walked down rue Saint Denis, one of the oldest streets in Paris, laid out by the Romans as early as the first century, so named because it leads directly from the Pont-au-Change to Saint-Denis, where the Saint is said to have collapsed after his martyrdom.
