- AAlekseySouthwest Florida •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoPhenomenal service and great steak (fat not rendered). Sushi is not at all up to par with normal sushi grade fish. Same knife was used to cut all fish and you can taste the cross contamination. 7/10 for steak, 3/10 for sushi. It was edible but that is about the greatest accomplishment it has achieved as a sushi place.More infoAt The RooftopPrice: Expensive• American• Canton•4.7
- NNicoleVIPNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoHad the best Valentine’s Day dinner here. The chocolate brioche bread was delicious. We also received a complimentary cauliflower soup shooter which had excellent flavor. For appetizers we got the yellowtail tartare, which was fresh, and potato and blue cheese flatbread with bacon and onion, which was well balanced. For dinner, I got the scallops with green onion risotto and my fiancé got the short rib. We both cleaned our plates, which is rare for me. In addition to this wonderful meal was equally wonderful service. Our server was so personable and made some much appreciated recommendations as first timers. Will definitely be eating here again!More infoArethusa al TavoloPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Bantam•4.9

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. They are so careful in their preparation and so precise. Such high-quality food. It’s also the restaurant I go to for every one of my birthdays!More infoJ.
