Did the new head chef leave? The creations are inventive, but the quality is no longer consistent. Neither is the service. Did Deb leave, too?

Toscana Italian Chophouse & Wine Bar, situated in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, offers a refined dining experience that seamlessly blends Italian culinary traditions with premium steakhouse offerings. Housed in the historic 1804 New Hampshire National Bank building, the restaurant's ambiance is characterized by exposed brick, original vault doors, and murals by local artists, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.

I made the reservation expecting their regular menu. Instead we were presented with a prix fix menu. However, the evening progressed we noticed that other diners were ordering off the regular menu. It would have been nice to have been given the option. With that said, the prix fix menu option were excellent. The server was attentive and friendly.

Row 34 somehow manages to serve high quality, refined seafood dishes and also a fantastic kids menu. It's a favorite for our whole family. Food is always delicious, drinks are great, and service is fantastic with friendly and helpful staff. And I agree with my 4 year old when she says the fries are "the greatest I've ever tried!"

There were not enought wait staff to handle the amount of people. I know that since there was no one at the front desk, some folks turned and left...this was 19Feb24. Around 1pm .....
