Restaurants near Bergen Park

Great experience overall. All food items were excellent (Filet, Chicken Medeira, Lettuce wraps, Betty’s potatoes, Mary’s Potatoes, asparagus, garlic green beans, chocolate cake, Smores dessert. Server was prompt and courteous, ambience was great. Prices were very reasonable. My only criticism was that it was listed on the reservation (and confirmation as an engagement dinner, and there was no mention of it at the restaurant or by the server. My assumption was they would ask at the table if there was a special occasion. It’s really no big deal but if they aren’t going to acknowledge it, or give us a more private or romantic table, then why bother asking. It’s a relatively minor gripe and wasn’t enough to detract from all the overall amazing experience.

We had the weekend specials…chicken cordon bleu and surf and turf… very very good. Service was great, overall wonderful date night!

I had open table request for 6:45. They told me 25 minutes and told them about open table. It was 6:20 and they said that would move us up. People came after us and got seated before us. About 7 we were seated. How does that happen? I estimated my arrival wrong but they said twice we should be soon. (I checked after 25 minutes.)
