Another, outstanding afternoon of wine and delicious foods @“B” Our 6th or more time since Early December when we discovered this absolute gem of a resto @ TheWell. Pizzas, Beet Salad, Scrimp Salad, and crispy fries with aioli dippy. Serious resto hunters only. Thank me later!!! Loved it. J

Went here for the Valentines prix fixe menu- three courses for $85 / person (plus drinks and truffle fries- don’t sleep on those!) La Plume was able to seat us earlier which we appreciated! We were in the upper dining room area which still felt cozy and intimate enough despite being fairly open. I had the burrata with beets and radicchio, which was a great first bite. Then the duck breast for my main. This was the real star. The duck was perfectly cooked to medium rare and I loved the puree of celeriac and lentils du puy. For drinks the bonbon cocktail set a very high standard! My partner liked the Plume old fashioned. He ordered lobster rigatoni, tasty but portion wise for him it might not have been enough. I was definitely full after dessert-baba au rhum- which is a cute vanilla rum soaked cake. Overall the service was incredibly attentive and both waiters who took care of us were extremely friendly, polite and made us feel comfortable. I recommend highly for a date night dinner.

We managed to make it to Lulu bar for the last day of Winterlicious. The prix fixe menu is interesting and affordable. The regular menu is still available. Everything we had was excellent, particularly the duck salad. The menu is Asian influenced and a little off the beaten path. The soundtrack was 60's R&B, although I did hear some Hawaiian slack guitar in there too. Thanks!

We decided to use Winterlicious to try out Aera. First of all the view is amongst the best in North America , overlooking the city with the CN tower and lakes in full view. Truly breathtaking. Our server was highly attentive. We both started with the Beet and Goats Cheese salad which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. My wife had the Salmon Pone Bowl with Edamame, Avocado, Quinoa flavoured with ginger and a delicious sauce. I had the Pork Loin Schnitzel with some of the best roasted potatoes I have ever eaten. The star of the meal however was the Sticky Toffee Pudding which came with praline encrusted ice cream, it scored 20 out of 10. From this first experience we have decided to celebrate our anniversary this year with dinner and some nice wine at Aera and to enjoy the full menu experience. I have had the luck through my career to have eaten at many of the worlds finest restaurants, I do not exaggerate when I say I would place Aera in my top 10 for ambience and quality. A real experience
