My first time at Al's and definitely won't be my last! Tina my server was wonderful. The steak and frites were delicious. The portion size was perfect for me. Finished the meal with a large slice of Coconut Cream pie, which is a must have. I will be back next time I am in Ottawa!

Honestly the best food ever!! And amazing service and ambience.

Great experience with an “accidental” wine tasting. We showed up on a Wednesday, where there was a formal wine tasting. We were able to order the wine flight and food pairing. The wine and the sommelier were great, but it felt overpriced for what we received (3 x ~2 oz wine plus a very small meat/cheese plate). Regardless, it was a very good experience in a cozy place with a cool vibe.

Arlo is one of our favorite restaurants in Ottawa. Once again, we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent; the waitress knew the menu and the wine list well. The quality of the food was worth the price.

We enjoyed an early Saturday evening dinner. The oysters were delicious, the scallops and kingfish starters yummy. The steak/frites was done medium rare with skinny crisps fries just as they should be. All paired with wines that went wonderfully with the food (albeit they are pricey $$$).
