Manicomio Chelsea opened its doors in 2003. It is set on the buzzy Duke of York Square, set back from Sloane Square and the iconic Kings Road.     A delicious dinner at Caraffini. I had the quail’s eggs to start, taglierini caraffini for main course and chocolate soufflé - all were excellent. It’s been a few years since I’ve been but nothing has really changed and it still feels like a warm family run restaurant!

    On arrival, a very stylish lady called Monica led us to our table and with great warmth said I understand it is someone’s birthday and can I pour you a glass of champagne. That was it - instantly myself and my guest felt welcome, special and very happy to be there! I had stated in my booking it was for a birthday but I was still highly impressed with that immediate attention to detail. It set the tone brilliantly and it really made my day. Our original waitress was excellent too - very on the ball though unfortunately I did not get her name. We had a fabulous lunch, great food and a lively, fun atmosphere. The staff are generally very good here but a special thanks to Monica who is excellent at her job. I will most definitely be back and soon.
