Restaurants near Brentsville Historic District

I disovered Trummers quite by accident when I looking for Truffle Fries for my son. We found Trummers, and the fries and their chicken were outstanding. That's when I knew I had to bring my wife here for Valentine's Day. And Trummers did not disappoint! That meal was the best we've had since moving to Virginia. If you are having trouble finding great food, service, and atmosphere, I can't rave about Trummers enough.

Very busy night on V-Day. We had reservations, but did need to wait a few minutes which was expected. Once sat down, we were greeted promptly got our drinks in and oysters. Our food and drinks were wonderful from beginning to end, but service was admittedly slow at first between the oysters and ordering our entrees. This couldn’t be helped, however, as they were packed so not docking points for a packed room on a holiday. We ended up getting our dessert to go, which we ate later and was great. Overall, a nice dinner for a special occasion as the service did take care of us with leftovers and getting things. Although pricey, you can’t deny the quality control of the food and service being top notch.

Firebirds' normal menu is generally good but not outstanding. However, there specials are always outstanding. My husband and I enjoyed today's special which was a beef tenderloin on mashed potatoes with stew-like accompaniments. It was truly delicious and beautifully served. We had our old favorite warm carrot cake for dessert. Excellent Valentine's Day lunch!

Carmelo's is one of my wife and I favorite restaurants. We had our wedding reception at Carmelo's and otherwise regularly visit. The food selection is very good and always fresh, hot, and delicious. Often time we are also offered a small flute of wine, free which is a nice touch. Also, often time Javier is our waiter who is just the right level of attentive and always professional, upbeat, and personable.

It was amazing! One of the owners, Eddie, regularly checked on us and we had a lovely time with AMAZING food!!
