Situated in the Red Rocks country 17 miles southwest of Denver on Hwy 285, The Fort is a true replica of Bent's Fort, (1833-1849), the first American fur trade post in Colorado. The Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Kiowa and Pawnee traded and intermarried at Bent's Old Fort, creating an economic and peaceful exchange of cultures in an otherwise violent West. The Fort building is on the National Registry of Historic Places, and celebrates the many cultures that traded at Bent's Old Fort. We enjoyed another lovely dinner at Venice. The service, food & wine are all outstanding. The gracious, welcoming manner of Aldo, the manager, just makes the evening special! We love sharing the beef carpaccio appetizer, which is just the right size for the 2 of us. For entrees we had the lasagna and sausage ravioli. Our favorite server moved on as manager of Alessandro's other restaurant in DTC, Chianti, but we very much liked the server we had this night. Giancarlo's wine pairing with our dinner was excellent, as always.

This restaurant is so amazing! I made reservations for myself and 3 friends. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and the holidays . We were treated to champagne, long stem roses, birthday cards and free desserts! The manager and server were just amazing and the food was wonderful. Blown away!!

Little pricey. Nice decor. Wish they had a happy hour. Would go more often. Have changed the points that are for food only! Can’t use accumulated points towards a portion of the bill. Points have to cover the cost of the food ordered. Unfortunate, they would have more customers with just a few changes.
