Visited for lunch and had the best chicken club I’ve ever had. We had the over for two with a salad in lieu of fries. Excellent and a good share. I had the fish and chips another time and again they were excellent.

Food was good value. Had some minor issues with new hostesses but our waitress was very helpful and efficient

We chose the 7 courses degustation menu, but with no wine pairing. Excellent! an adventure in flavors, not to be missed in Ottawa. The lesser points however were: a) the lack of available parking, although we still found a solution thanks to the tolerance of the service team, b) the atmosphere of the place, partly because of the ultra modern decor and physical architecture, which tends to be more impersonal (But this is our personal choice). The service was quite good, and staff were attentive. Not to detract to the actual positive experience, we would have appreciated more explanations about what makes the Kerala/southern India flavors so unique, and the culinary roots and the cultural context (as it was a culinary experience); this could have complemented the experience further. Overall the experience is well worth it, and we would repeat it because of the quality of the food, and the particularly well balanced flavors. They have a varied menu, aside of the degustation one, and we will focus on this in our future visits. Can't wait!

State & Main in Gloucester is my go-to spot for a delightful dining experience. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up with a friend or enjoying a date night. The service has always been wonderful, with attentive and friendly staff. The Pink State Mint cocktail is a standout, blending gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, dragon fruit, cucumber, lime, mint, and soda, a refreshing and flavorful choice. I consistently order the Pistachio Crusted Salmon; it’s always cooked to perfection, with a delicious maple butter drizzle. The Baja Brussels Sprouts appetizer is also a must-try, craveable and full of flavor. Overall, State & Main offers a consistently amazing dining experience that keeps me coming back.

What a GREAT experience!! Waiter Dan was very attentive and prompt. We will go back food was amazing, bottles of wine 1/2 price on Wednesdays.
