Restaurants near Philomath Historic District

My go-to restaurant. Food and service are always excellent. Great ambience somewhere between fancy and fun. Chop House never disappoints.

This was our second time dining at Osteria Olio and it’s been a wonderful experience each visit. This time my wife and I were there for our anniversary dinner. When we arrived, they seated us and had a candle and an anniversary card, signed by the entire staff, already on our table. We got the Focaccia appetizer and there are no words to describe how good it was. We ordered the Ziti Alla Vodka and the Spaghetti Alla Bolognese for our entrees and split each one. As my wife put it, it was the best pasta she’s ever eaten in her life, and I couldn’t agree more. We ordered the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Hazlenut Semifreddo for dessert, and it was absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Marina, was so kind and very knowledgeable of the menu. She timed every course perfectly and I never once felt like we were being rushed. The rest of the staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. I could not recommend Osteria Olio.

Amazing experience. I had to bring my student group of over 15 kids and they were patient and efficient. We were in and out in about an hour and a half. Pizza, pasta, appetizers, and dessert were delicious. Highly recommend even for large groups

We are VERY sad tho hear that the new landlords have informed Cafe on Lumpkin that they can no longer remain in their current space. This is very disheartening. I really hope they are able to continue in a different location, and I hope the new owner of the building understands how disappointed the Athens community feels about the closure of Cafe on Lumpkin.

Food was excellent- I had pot roast over mushroom risotto with baby carrots. Meat was so tender. One suggestion offer a vegan diner option.
