Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same.     The bar and food service can be quite slow. From the time we ordered our drinks it took 20 minutes to get them to us. From the time we ordered our food (and the first course was a salad) it took 30 min. to get the salad. This is the second time I've been there and the service and delivery of items is slow paced - even when the restaurant doesn't seem that busy.

    We can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve eaten here 3 times now and it never disappoints. The food is so amazing with service to match. The friendliest staff in the city. We will be back here over and over again! We’re hooked! Shout out to Chef Jhonny and Hannah!

    I find the food in Seattle to be incredibly underwhelming so I was a bit leery about going to yet another restaurant in the city. I am glad I did because the food at Cutters was fantastic. This is the first restaurant I have ever been to in Seattle that I would actually go back to (and happily) The food, service, ambiance, and view are all terrific.

    The warm, welcoming ambience, beautifully prepared dishes, and expert service were fantastic! We also appreciated the lovely personal touches, including a complimentary birthday treat (presented on a bouquet) and a personalized birthday card signed by the staff. We can't wait to go back!
