Restaurants near Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club

We had lunch here at 1 and got a great table with a view of the ocean. They had an interesting holiday cocktail list. We both got the Hazy Day of Winter, a masterpiece. Refreshing, festive and not too sweet. We split an order of the scallops. They were succulent and perfectly cooked. I had the shrimp quesadillas and he had the pulled pork sandwich. Our plates arrived hot from the kitchen. Mine was filled with shrimp and just the right amount of Old Bay. His pork was juicy with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. His plate came with freshly made potato chips. As usual, service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the cheerfulness of the woman who brought us our drinks and mains. And, it’s always nice to see the birds.

Best steak house in Rehoboth Beach. Rather small-ish and always busy so reservations are a must. We had escargot and black ravioli as appetizers, then the filet and prime rib as entrees. Everything was so, so good. Be careful you don't fill up first on their hot rolls with house made basil butter. I would highly recommend 1776.

The food is excellent. Every dish we had was phenomenal. The service was spotty as it took a while for the waiter to get our drink order. We never got bread that comes with every meal, drink refills were slow and never got the last one we asked for. For a fine dining experience service should be very good for $40-50 entrees. The portions are large and we left full. The cooks knocked it out of the park. We will go back and hope to eat in the main dining room next time.

One Coastal is my favorite restaurant, so, not surprisingly, our meal was wonderful. All of the items we ordered-that agrobay field greens and rockfish and catfish entrees- were excellent, the drinks were great and the service was flawless. It's our go-to restaurant whenever we're in the area and can get a reservation.

I’ve been here many times. Great service but was somewhat disappointed on the Fish Stew. It’s off season so maybe my expectations were too high.
