Restaurants near Big River State Management Area

Loved this place! Drove from Boston for my birthday for the flights! This place has been on my foodie list for a year and a half and it did NOT disappoint!! Can't wait to visit again during earlier hours so I can try the lattes!

We invited another couple to join us for dinner. They had never been to Meritage and were excited to try this place. We had a 6pm reservation and were seated on time. The drinks, appetizers and dinners were all great. The ladies had the salmon and the guys had the kabob trio, nothing left on any plate that was removed after dinner! We had a great dinner and will definitely be back again soon.

The large room to the left of the entrance was extremely sunny. Half of the diners (of 9) had to wear sunglasses throughout our time there. This needs to be addressed as it was very uncomfortable for those facing the sun. In summer, it becomes very very warm. Consider some sort of window coverings. Over all, our meals were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their choice. Our waitress was a bit slow, and the promised bread never arrived, while we waited quite a while for our meals. Then one of our party went to remind the waitress about the bread, but it arrived just as our meals were being served. And there was no dipping oil available today. Today was a pointed example of how important a server is to the enjoyment of a meal. Sadly, our favorite server was not available. He was sorely missed! Over all, the food here never disappoints!

Another wonderful dinner at Siena! It was a special event and we were a party of 6. Server Julia did a great job!!

I wish I could remember the name of our server!! He was THE BEST!! So kind, friendly, just a JOY! If this helps we had a 6:30 reservation on December 27… we were seated behind the hostess station maybe 3 booths back next to the windows. He should receive a STELLAR evaluation…. Definitely a HUGE asset to your restaurant!! He had dark short hair,, I think blue eyes. Not too tall. Just EXCELLENT!!
