This is always a terrific choice! Service and food is really always impeccable. I was happy to see a few new food and drink options on the winter menu; highly recommend the bucatini with pork cheek and the gin and cardamom cocktail. All the pasta dishes we tried were fantastic and the marrow risotto was bomb. For dry January enthusiasts we were also well taken care of! - great mock tails and even an alcohol free Prosecco. Really wonderful all around! Don’t forget the apple tart for dessert! Melts in your mouth and truly divine!!

From start to finish—wow! We had an amazing dinner at Golden Gai at the counter. Dishes we tried: - spicy cucumber salad - ginger salad - scallop roll - rickrolld roll - salmon nigiri - toro nigiri - fried soba noodles (mushrooms were insane!) - yuzu tart for dessert Everything was stellar with unexpected flavor twists at every turn. We also loved the unique stoneware and glassware! All staff we interacted with were warm, friendly, and personable. We’ll be back!

We knew the other location downtown Pittsburgh that we had enjoyed very much, and this new place was not less good! Food excellent, service courteous and efficient, ambience cozy and comfortable! Kudos! Paolo

We have been here several times before and have never been disappointed. We cannot resist the fried tofu. We also love the shrimp tempura but we skipped it this time as we wanted to also get a “large plate” entree. My wife enjoyed her teriyaki salmon. My tuna was great. We shared the salad and the pretzel dessert. I am disappointed that the miso Halibut is no longer on the menu…. We will be back though! Thank you Alec - our server.

My first time back in years as I moved out of the area. It’s even better than I remembered. We had a selection of shared items and apps and all were amazing and served with perfect timing.
