From the moment we walked in, we were met with friendly smiles, a casual yet cozy atmosphere, and a clear passion for authentic Roman cuisine. For the main course, we both enjoyed the carbonara, which was nothing short of perfection. The portion size was generous, but every bite was so delicious that we happily devoured it. The homemade bacon added a deep, smoky richness, while the sauce was luxuriously creamy, peppery, and indulgent. The rocket salad, served in a very generous portion, was the perfect fresh, peppery counterpoint to the richness of the pasta. And then there was the garlic bread—possibly the best we've ever had. Warm, crisp on the outside, and soft inside, it was packed with bold garlic flavor and impossible to resist. What truly amazed us was that every dish was entirely vegan. The flavors, textures, and depth of the food were so spot-on that we were genuinely shocked—it felt like a masterclass in plant-based Italian cooking. We brought our own bottle of wine and were more than happy to pay the reasonable £5 corking fee. The service throughout our meal was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The setting was relaxed and casual, and the facilities were spotless, showing the same level of care and attention that went into every detail of the restaurant. Authenticity radiates from every aspect of Sora Lella, from the thoughtful preparation of the food to the welcoming atmosphere. The prices were more than fair for the quality and portion sizes, and we were delighted to leave a well-earned service charge. We will absolutely be returning in the near future. Sora Lella is a rare find—a place where tradition, passion, and outstanding vegan food come together to create something truly special.

The food was amazing, and the staff were so lovely. So happy there’s an Ethiopian restaurant in Edinburgh now. I will absolutely be visiting again.

The best Japanese food I have had in Europe. Comparable to what you could get in any good restaurant in Japan. The quality of the fish was unbeatable and the presentation and taste were superb. The chef understands and respects his craft. I think the chef saw me enjoying his food so much that he even treated me with some O-toro! I am looking forward to travel back to Edinburgh to repeat a meal in this hidden jewel.
