Created Tom Hill and Clare Lattin of Ducksoup in Soho and Little Duck in Hackney, Emilia is their version of a small Italian Osteria (transported to the Devonshire countryside) serving seasonal, everyday Italian inspired dishes using locally grown ingredients. Tom oversees the menu and together they cook and share a love for Italian food and natural wine. The dining room is hosted by Lucy Mastroddi and Paul Seckler along with Alice Phillips.

In 2017 Holly and Ali moved down to Plymouth for a new life away from London. Passion for all things pizza and years of hospitality life brought about Knead pizza.Starting in Plymouth market and honing our skills to try and work out our perfect pizza. We moved into The LHA garden in 2019 due to that thing we wont mention and started cooking with flame. We got ever closer to cracking and adapting the truest of neopolitan style dough into a perfectly soft, neo neapolitan light and flavoursome crust.Now after a stroke of luck we’ve moved to the amazing Prysten House 1498. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth built by Thomas Yogge, with a real Tuscan villa vibe and courtyard, Grade 1 listed and also the inspiration for Yogge our new pizza pal.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats.     Delicious food. The pork belly was glorious. The waiter was kind, polite and always attentive to our requests. The reservation was easy and the restaurant was less than a half full, so we could get a table by the window. Ambience was quiet and warm. Cocktails were good as well. Tiramisu was too creamy for my taste but not too sweet. We would come back for another special occassion.

    Loved everything about our time in Emilia, the food was exceptional as were the two front of house staff who managed the restaurant so competently throughout service. Highlights in no particular order: vermouth, ragu, pumpkin. Thank you so much

    The only disappointment was that the rotisserie chicken was off, probably the main reason to visit the restaurant. However the food we did have was of a very good quality. Very good flavours, well developed. Overall a very enjoyable meal.
