- PPaulIdaho •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoOur experience at the Ahwahnee Hotel restaurant was excellent. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, which apparently affects the kitchen service, so they were limited to a buffet style food selection. But the selection featured a great mix of choices from prime rib, to salmon, so chicken to gourmet mac and cheese (one of my faves!) The desserts were great, the service was great - and most importantly, the price per person ($63 not including bar items) made it a much more accessible experience. Normally dinner for two at the Ahwanhee would likely be $200-$300. This makes it a much great value, in my opinion. Well worth the effort. The ambiance is still very good, despite the construction underway. Highly recommended if you are in Yosemite Valley.More infoThe Ahwahnee HotelPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Yosemite•3.8

First, we ordered oysters on the half and the chimichurri sauce which I wanted to ask if we put on everything. We had the wine pairing with the chef's 3-course menu, which started with an incredible amuse-bouche of lobster two ways—followed by smoked trout, another amazing dish. The main choices were ribeye or poached halibut. My husband had the ribeye which was divine and I had the halibut, which was very good but a little salty. The finale was this take on a Paris-breast with apple, pecan, and bourbon maple in a pastry. Just lovely. Highly recommend a visit.More infoThe Elderberry HousePrice: Very Expensive• French American• Oakhurst•4.9

- LLisaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •13 reviews4.0Dined on 27 Oct 2024The June Bug Cafe has great food at a reasonable price in a grown-up camp atmosphere which is fitting, as the whole Yosemite Bug feels like a really cool, funky summer camp in the woods, for all ages. Big portions, well made, fresh meals. We stayed at a different hotel recently and, after a disappointing breakfast at that hotel, drove to the June Bug for a great, satisfying breakfast the next morning.More infoJune Bug CafePrice: Moderate• American• Yosemite•4.3
